World Wellbeing Week at LBR
To mark the third annual World Wellbeing Week, we decided to take this opportunity to really focus on employee wellbeing.
During this challenging period, the importance of personal wellbeing has never been more apparent. Therefore, taking time to focus on and celebrate different aspects of wellbeing including financial, physical, emotional and mental health couldn’t have come at a more appropriate time.
How did we celebrate?
Firstly, we focused on financial wellbeing. On Monday, we shared some great tips on saving, budgeting and managing your personal finances from our EAP partner, AXA.
Secondly, we focused on physical and community wellbeing. On Tuesday, we started our 7 Day 50K sponsored walkathon in aid of Refuge, a charity that supports survivors of domestic abuse.
On Wednesday, we are partnered with the Mindfulness Project. We arranged for an Introduction to Mindfulness session to take place for our employees. The session was designed to help employees learn how mindfulness can be a helpful tool to help relax and destress.
On Thursday, our wonderful yoga partner, YuriYoga, led a special yoga session. This session focused on improving muscle, joint health and relaxation. This helped to equip our employees with techniques to manage those aches that can stem from sitting for most of the day.
Finally, on Friday our Senior Leadership Team made the decision to give all our employees the day off work. This allowed employees to focus on their own personal wellbeing – the perfect end to an action-packed week of events!
Why employee wellbeing matters to us
Here at LBR, our employees are at our greatest asset, and we constantly invest in our people to ensure that our clients receive superior value and service.
Taking time out to mark occasions like World Wellbeing Week, gives our employees the time and resources to focus on their wellbeing which will always be central to our business goals.
