Marieke Breijer,

Marieke is the editor of Global Investigations Review, having joined in 2014 from sister title Latin Lawyer. Originally from the Netherlands, Marieke has lived in London since 2007.

Global Investigations Review (GIR) provides exclusive news and analysis and other thought-provoking content for those who specialise in investigating and resolving suspected corporate wrongdoing.

Launched in 2014, GIR provides daily news, features, data tools and rankings for all those who specialise in helping companies unearth and resolve serious wrongdoing, whether they work in-house or at a law firm or consultancy. It also publishes the only text book in existence on the nuts and bolts of running a major cross-border investigation, written by the individuals who pioneered the art – The Practitioners’ Guide to Global Investigations.

Since 2015 GIR has incorporated Just Anti-Corruption, with its archive of content on the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and market-leading team of reporters in DC.

GIR annually produces a number of signature surveys, including the GIR 100, a guide to the most active cross-border investigations practices in the market, the Corporate Fines Scorecard, and the Due Process Guide, focused on rights of defence.

As well as The Practitioner's Guide, GIR provides thought leadership in a series of other formats from reviews to comparison tools.

GIR Live events around the world bring the growing international community together using panel formats that guarantee lively exchanges.
