Lexology delivers the most comprehensive source of international legal updates, analysis and insights for law firms and in-house counsel worldwide. Lexology PRO is a rapidly growing subscription service for lawyers working cross-border.
We are delighted to announce the release of our latest AI-powered research tool, Ask The Experts, which enables Lexology PRO’s in-house counsel subscribers to search our archive of global expertise, commentary and other resources quickly and easily.
Using RAG methodology, Ask The Experts retrieves the most relevant content authored by law firm contributors and Lexology’s own analysts and knowledge development lawyers. Using that tightly ring-fenced content set, generative AI then drafts a brief answer to the user’s question while the UI puts the legal experts and their content front and centre. Ask The Experts’ innovative process allows our users to leverage AI with confidence, saving time and minimising risk, knowing that the answers can be trusted.
Alongside the quick answer to the user’s question, Ask The Experts provides links to pertinent sections of clearly accredited content. Users in the beta trial found the tool to be a great jumping off point to understand an unfamiliar or evolving issue. For busy in-house counsel faced with a diverse range of business questions every day, being able to rapidly understand which issues to focus on and how to approach them is invaluable.
“Ask The Experts allows our users to easily answer a legal question based on LBR’s vast content repository, authored by well-known international experts. Using search technology and Generative AI, Ask The Experts abstracts these opinions while clearly showcasing the experts behind them”, Dr Miguel Martinez, Director of Innovation and AI.
Given the breadth of content at its disposal, Ask The Experts is able to answer questions ranging from “What should we include in our US data privacy policy?” to “What do I need to know about land purchases in Mexico?”.
“Ask The Experts is not AI for its own sake. The technology gets out of the way and provides the user with brief, credible answers along with the most relevant content from across Lexology’s legal database of two million content resources across 170+ jurisdictions”, Alex Morrall, Chief Product Officer, Law Business Research.
We will be demonstrating Ask The Experts at Legal Geek in London on October 16th – 17th. Stop by stand 45 to give it a try or to learn more about our exciting upcoming products.
