Nick Brailey was appointed CEO of Law Business Research in June 2019, after joining the company in 2018 from the LBR acquisition of Globe Business Media Group, where he served as CEO.  

Prior to joining LBR, Nick held numerous senior positions within the information services market. As managing director of corporate development at GlobalData Plc he worked on multiple major M&A transactions; prior to that, as chief operating officer he oversaw large-scale integration and transformation projects. Nick brings transaction and commercial experience to LBR, spearheading the company’s growth initiatives in addition to most recently overseeing the acquisition of the US-based IP analytics business Docket Navigator.  

He has a degree in Management Sciences from Warwick Business School.

Claire joined LBR as CFO in May 2022. As CFO Claire is responsible for the financial performance and operations of the business. Prior to joining LBR Claire was Group CFO at Telegraph Media Group supporting the substantial growth in digital subscriptions and has held senior finance roles at Guardian News and Media and William Hill PLC.
Claire brings experience in digital media, international content led businesses and subscription business models. Claire is a qualified CIMA accountant.

As Chief Revenue Officer, Nick Fielden is responsible for LBR’s commercial division and works across all products. Nick is an experienced commercial leader, most recently holding senior roles at Informa Tech, as Chief Commercial Officer for Omdia Research.

Ken Appiah is an internationally experienced executive with previous Board experience as a CFO, COO and CEO. He has a track record of leading businesses to success.   

A career foundation as a Qualified Chartered Certified Accountant brings a solid Financial Leadership capability. He has significant experience from his previous roles, leading M&A activity on both the buy and sell side, including IPOs, and post-acquisition integrations.

Clare is the Chief Content Officer. In this role, she is responsible for the group content strategy and the content output for a number of our intelligence platforms, including Global Competition Review, Global Data Review, IAM, Latin Lawyer, Lexology and World Trademark Review. She joined the business in 2005 as a reporter on Latin Lawyer and has worked in a number of content roles, including a publisher for a range of platforms.

Alex Morrall is Chief Product Officer at Law Business Research and is responsible for product development across the group’s brands. His role is to apply technology to legal content and workflows to deliver seamless client experiences, and his team plays a central role in driving the business’s growth strategy. Prior to joining Law Business Research, Alex worked at Practical Law Company during its rapid growth.

Tom is the Director of Research. In this role he is responsible for the collection of market data across all brands through digital and in-person qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, the creation of high-value data products through the application of proprietary evaluation frameworks and analytical insight, and the strategic development and financial performance of the division overall. Tom joined the business in 2002 as a research analyst on Who’s Who Legal and spent seven years as its Head of Research.

Angus is the Managing Director for Practice Intelligence, a global commercial role for our intelligence subscriptions brands. He joined the business in October 2022. He is a Senior Commercial Leader having worked in intelligence, data and analysis subscriptions in start-up, listed and sponsor backed settings.

Dan is Asia managing director, based in Law Business Research’s Hong Kong office and responsible for the group’s activities across the Asia-Pacific region. Dan joined the business in 2012 to help set up the regional office and drive the company’s growth across this dynamic market. Prior to Law Business Research, Dan managed Euromoney’s Legal Media Group titles including Managing IP, IFLR, Asialaw and China Law & Practice.

Rosie is responsible for the Lexology PRO, GCR, GIR, and Latin Lawyer content teams. She has been with Law Business Research since 2006, beginning as a news reporter on Latin Lawyer and holding the editor position of that title for several years. She has overseen the content strategy for Lexology PRO since its launch in 2019, adding more brands to her remit more recently.

Denise leads the P&T team and the People & Talent agenda at LBR, ensuring we attract, develop and retain high-quality talent in a culture that is inclusive, collaborative and fun. She joined in March 2021 from Auction Technology Group where she was Chief HR officer. Prior to that Denise has held senior roles at ITN, Al Jazeera, News International and The FiveTen Group, more recently in PE-backed companies.

David is the longest serving journalist at Law Business Research. Since joining in 1999, he has run sister sites Global Competition Review and Latin Lawyer (as a locum), launched Global Arbitration Review and Global Restructuring Review, and organised numerous conferences under those brands. He read law at Oxford and Cambridge.

Alexi is director of events, responsible for all aspects of Law Business Researchs networking solutions portfolio, which comprises 120 global events across 12 brands. Alexi joined the business in 2002 and worked in a number of commercial roles before starting the events division in 2009 and growing it to where it is today. She previously worked for Thomson Reuters in its legal publishing division, Sweet & Maxwell.
